*tackles you for RENT* I do not see that show mentioned very much anymore and it is awesome to see people who love it.

Rent will always have a soft spot in my heart. The things I have done in the name of that show... slept in the car, on the street, flew to Albuquerque... it's kind of ridiculous. But it was good times!

Some of my best friends were made through Rent, some of my favorite experiences were had waiting in the rush line. I love that show and it really does have a special place in my heart. Ive only seen it four times but each time it's just as enchanting as the last.

Do you enjoy other musicals? *is kind of a nerd for them*

Oh, I love rush lines. I'm actually seeing a regional production of Rent in a few weeks with friends I met in a rush line back in 2006. It's a crazy world. :D

I do! Being out of a job for ages has hindered me from seeing much lately, though I did go see Hair a couple weeks ago and it was brilliant. And I'm planning on taking a road trip in the summer in to see Next to Normal (which I saw on Broadway, but I'm really hoping Alice Ripley will still be on the tour then, since I didn't get to see her the night I saw it, though her understudy was fabulous).

I'm pretty much in love with anything Sondheim (well, Sweeney Todd isn't my thing). Sondheim can do no wrong.

Oh ma, I understand the lack of a job thing. I would love to go to more shows but between not driving and very little funds, it's hard to go out and see things. I'm hoping to go to Rent in the park with my girlfriend sometime soon though, I can't remember when it is and I try and keep an eye out for other shows that are going to be around that I can afford but it's hard.

Also, I have to squee a little for Next To Normal, that would be another show that I grew up with. I remember when it was still Feeling Electric and it was the show I curled up with pretty much all through high school. I really want to go and see it because I want to see what it's grown up into..

Theatre is an expensive habit! The regional Rent tickets were $30, and I was like, "Seriously? I didn't pay that much for a professional production!" but then we were able to get a group rate, and I could afford to go. :D

I still have the Amy Spanger/Anthony Rapp Feeling Electric boot. I wonder sometimes what it would have been like going into the Broadway theatre and NOT knowing what happens. But there was no chance of that after the years of FE listening. :)

It really is. That's why I love Pay What You Can shows. They make me really happy. Luckily, they come up...not that often exactly but often enough that I can get to go to one or two shows a year which isn't nearly as much as I'd like but it's better than nothing.

I understand. I think I would still love the show but I will admit that after having gotten so attached to Feeling Electric,, I had a bias against to Next TO Normal. I got out of that but now they are two different shows in my head. I still love Next To Normal though, just in a different way than I do Feeling Electric.

Do you mind if I friend you by the way? I know this is a WC friending meme but I can always use more musical fans on my flist too.

Yeah, I didn't see any theatre in 2010. So when Hair came to Pittsburgh, I asked my parents if they'd fund me going. Plus, it turned out a couple of my friends from New York were coming in to see it, so it all worked out really well.

Oh, yes! Friending is good! :D

Oh nice! That's awesome that it worked out then. I get such a high from going to see a show, I hate when a year goes by and I don't get that at least once.

Oh shiny! *proceeds to do that then*
